The Hibbert Trust was pleased to financially support the Pan African Unitarian conference held in March 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa.
Helen Mason, who is a Hibbert Trustee, and the Director of Unitarian College in the UK, was working with leaders from Unitarian congregations in Cape Town, Durban, Burundi and Kenya. The conference considered the development needs of Unitarian leaders in Africa and made exciting plans for the future. We enjoyed working in the historic surroundings of Cape Town Unitarian Church, which has also received financial support from the John Gregson Trust. The Conference also included the ordination of Rev Gur Mouamba as a community minister in Cape Town.
