Unitarian Theology Conference
The publication of the papers from the first Unitarian Theology Conference by Faith and Freedom was funded by the Hibbert Trust.
The Conference was held at Cross Street Chapel, Manchester on 21 May 2016. It featured contributions by Stephen Lingwood, Melanie Prideaux, Rev Jo James and Rev Dr David Steers.
The conference was convened to consider key questions confronting the Unitarian Movement including:
- Do Unitarians need theology?
- If so, what is theology?
- How might it develop?
Almost ninety people attended the conference from all over Britain. The opening devotion was given by Rev Cody Coyne, minister of Cross Street Chapel.
Presentations were followed by discussion and there was a concluding panel debate.
